Alex Weehuizen

I’m a early years specialist passionate about supporting caregivers and families through the first five years of their child’s life.

I work alongside parents and teachers to help make sense of children’s behaviour, emotions, and development, and to provide practical strategies that feel clear, achievable, and reassuring in everyday life.

My journey began as a qualified nanny, and later as an early childhood teacher, after graduating with a Bachelor of Education (ECE) from Victoria University. These experiences allowed me to build strong, supportive relationships with children and their whānau, while gaining insight into diverse family dynamics. Along the way, I developed a keen interest in infant and early childhood development, which naturally led me to supporting families more directly.
